Pop Art

•This series is a reinterpretation of familiar cartoon characters through a new perspective. By exaggerating the eyes, simplifying the forms, and using strong color contrasts, I aimed to express a sense of unfamiliarity within the familiar, and discomfort hidden within humor.

Although these characters are ones we grew up with, I was drawn to how just a slight change in their expressions or emotions can completely alter the way we perceive them.Through this distortion, I wanted to visually explore the gap between the images we remember and the ones we actually see.

Rather than a simple homage, this work reflects my personal interpretation of how images in popular culture are consumed and remembered.
